I love Tai Chi, it's beauty and energy. Chen Tai chi is the oldest form of the style. What distinguishes it from the more commonly seen Yang form is its low stances and its explosive dynamic movements. True to the heart of Taoist philosophy, Chen tai chi unites the hard and the soft, Yin and Yang. Although I myself do not practice tai chi, I love to watch it, It inspires me and fills me for a appreciation for the human condition. This kid is so young and yet his skill phenomenal. Although Taoism is most popular here in the west through the medium of the Tao Te Ching, the taoist arts encompass quite a bit more. Among them are internal martial arts, 5 element nutrition, Inner alchemy, breath regulation, Chinese medicine ect... Taoist studied nature for inspiration. As I analyze the taoist repitore I cant help but realize much of it is based in Somatic Psycology. The focus of taoist arts lies in the body and Qi (life force) which is understood as a universal source of energy of some kind.
